Pavement Crack Sealants & Mastics

Pure Asphalt has a long track record for creating materials to meet the many issues that can arise in the application process of hot pour crack and joint sealant.

Decades of creating superior materials

From parking lot products that melt fast and set-up quickly to roadway joint sealants that can withstand the harsh weather conditions and still maintain a long service life, Pure Asphalt products are scientifically designed to meet the needs of our contractors.

Our Products

Designed to withstand the irregular heating of Direct Fire Kettles, this product doesn’t smoke and is tracking resistant. Direct Fire crack sealant melts fast and sets-up quickly. Low Penetration allows the product to stand up to normal wear and tear in parking lots while utilizing an interwoven matrix under the surface for superior bonding that lasts. Recommended for direct fire kettles.
Tracking resistant crack sealant, melts fast and sets-up quickly. Low Penetration allows the product to stand up to normal wear and tear in parking lots while utilizing an interwoven matrix under the surface for superior bonding that lasts. Recommended for oil-jacketed kettles.
Meets Road Spec ASTM 3405 – Type II). Designed for all climates with a fast set-up to reduce lane closer time. Recommended for oil-jacketed kettles.
Meets Road Spec ASTM 3723. Designed for colder climates with flexibility to -20°F. Fast set-up to reduce lane closer time. Recommended for oil-jacketed kettles.
Meets Road Spec ASTM D6690-Type IV. Designed for extremely cold climates with flexibility to -40°F. Recommended for oil-jacketed kettles.
Meets Road Spec ASTM D5167. Comprised of asphaltic resins, synthetic polymers, and polyester fiber that make for easy application and reduced clogging. Recommended for oil-jacketed kettles.
Designed to adhere to longitudinal cold construction joints in asphalt concrete pavements to improve bonding and sealing. Recommended for oil-jacketed kettles.
High Temperature version of our Direct Fire crack sealant, this material is designed to handle extremely hot climates. It withstands the irregular heating of Direct Fire Kettles, doesn’t smoke and is tracking resistant. Direct Fire crack sealant melts fast and sets-up quickly. Low Penetration allows the product to stand up to normal wear and tear in parking lots while utilizing an interwoven matrix under the surface for superior bonding that lasts. Recommended for direct fire kettles.
High Temperature version of our Parking Lot crack sealant, this material is designed to handle extremely hot climates. Tracking resistant crack sealant, melts fast and sets-up quickly. Low Penetration allows the product to stand up to normal wear and tear in parking lots while utilizing an interwoven matrix under the surface for superior bonding that lasts. Recommended for oil-jacketed kettles.
The longevity of the longitudinal HMA joints can be increased by using hot applied Longitudinal Joint Sealant (LJS), or Void Reducing Asphalt Membrane (VRAM). LJS is flow resistant, non-tracking and lessens water entry while improving compaction rates. Comes in 30lb blocks to be used in oil-jacketed melter.
A hot-applied polymer modified asphalt mixed with specially designed aggregate and modifier combinations that is chosen to properly fill potholes, cover alligator cracking, small patches, and road cracks in warm-hot climates.
A hot-applied polymer modified asphalt mixed with specially designed aggregate and modifier combinations that is chosen to properly fill wide cracks in moderate-cold climates. Meets ASTM D8260-20.
