Road Emulsions & Tack Coats

Pure Asphalt tack coats provide a bond between successive layers of a pavement.

How we can help you

Scientifically engineered in our ASHTO Approved Laboratory, our asphalt emulsions are among the best in the industry for adhesion, stability, ease of application and short dry-times.

Our Products

A slow-setting tack or bond coat emulsion that is sprayed onto the roadway surface immediately prior to a paving operation. The adhesion of multiple lifts of pavement provides for maximum structural coefficient and ensures the safety and longevity of the pavement structure. Available in 5 Gallon Pails, 50 Gallon Drums, 330 Gallon Totes and Bulk Tankers.
Our fast-drying SS-1H emulsion often used as a fog coat and is sprayed on the roadway surface, providing a quick return-to-traffic time and improved aggregate retention with some trackless properties. Available in 5 Gallon Pails, 50 Gallon Drums, 330 Gallon Totes and Bulk Tankers.
A trackless bond or tack coat that is sprayed onto the roadway surface immediately prior to a paving operation. The trackless properties ensure the bonding material stays where it is needed, resisting being picked up by tires, paving equipment and haul trucks and tracked across the job site. Adjacent structures and striping are protected for tracking associated with conventional materials. Available in 5 Gallon Pails, 50 Gallon Drums, 330 Gallon Totes and Bulk Tankers.
The longevity of the longitudinal HMA joints can be increased by using hot applied Longitudinal Joint Sealant (LJS), or Void Reducing Asphalt Membrane (VRAM). LJS is flow resistant, non-tracking and lessens water entry while improving compaction rates.
High Float Emulsion, that is typically used on more rural routes as a chip seal, that is usually followed by an application of a single layer of aggregate used to provide friction, seal cracks less than ¼ inches wide and reduce the intrusion of water into roadway structures. Available in 5 Gallon Pails, 50 Gallon Drums, 330 Gallon Totes and Bulk Tankers.

Full Lane Sealant (FLS) is a tack coat that, when used in conjunction with an HMA, creates a waterproofing system that prevents the ingress of water and deicing chemicals to protect concrete from spalling and corrosion.
